Story behind our two Retired Racing Greyhounds - Patti & H

The story behind two of our retired racing greyhounds started in May 2008, when we picked two pups a brother and sister from a litter of 5. There pedigree is from the great lines of Westmead Hawk (twice English derby winner) & Pacey Macy (English Oaks Finalist 2005). Pacey Macy female lineage goes back several generation to our old family lines to Odell Supreme, so we wanted to bring back these original lines.

Patti & H were both born in Essex in the UK and when we moved to South Wales, UK we decided to have them reared in the Brecon Beacons, part of the National Park. Plenty of open spaces and a lot of freedom.

They stayed together until they were approximately 2 years of age when we chose two different racing trainers. Patti went to a well respected trainer in the Shropshire area of the UK and H went back to Essex area to race again with a good trainer. We picked trainers with limited dogs so they good more one to one and both of them became very successful in there racing careers in winning plenty Open class races on the racing tracks. They did us very proud.

Now they are both 11 years of age and when their racing career was coming to the end, we decided to retire them and they both came home to us and are now both back together on our sofa.
