Manuka honey can be applied directly to the wound as it acts as a sterile dressing. The honey originates from New Zealand. It consists of 100% Leptospermum Scoparium. Noel Fitzpatrick, known as the Bionic Super Vet, has used Manuka Honey directly to wounds to eliminate bacterial infections and reduce inflammation. This product will always be in my first aid kit for my pets but I would recommend you read the instructions fully before use.
